Houdini Sportswear, which has been using Vellox since 2020, has grown into an international player with complex sales via many channels. Gustav Hedström tells how the collaboration with Vellox has freed up time, enabled strategic management and provided access to the latest technology without them having to develop or operate it themselves.
"We don't need to build and operate, we just need to make decisions"
When Houdini started using Vellox, the goal was simple: to avoid manual data handling and Excel connections. The result has at least matched expectations.
– When our CEO saw how Vellox works, he thought it was the best BI solution he had ever seen. That says something, says Gustav Hedström, Business Analyst at Houdini.
Questions & Answers
Has Vellox changed your way of working with business analysis and decision-making?
That Vellox is continuously developed is also something Gustav highlights as a major advantage
We always get the latest – that's how we want to work. No custom builds that get stuck, but solutions that develop for us over time.
Vellox is now used by about 20 people at Houdini, how do you use Vellox?
We work 1.5 years ahead with purchases. Then we need to be able to link historical sales with forecasts. That's what we work most with, says Gustav.
Especially valuable is the ability to combine data from multiple companies, channels and countries – with automatic currency handling. What previously required huge Excel files is now seamlessly integrated.
What's best about Vellox?
The simplicity. When we compared with other suppliers before switching from Pyramid to BC, it was clear that Vellox was far ahead. Others wanted to build custom solutions and charged for every hour. At Vellox, development is included in the service – and we get the result we want.
We buy a ready-made package, which is still customizable. And it's cost-effective. This is how we want to work as a smaller company – to avoid building everything from scratch.
